Small but spectacular, Slovenia is a rising favourite for Indian honeymooners and nature lovers. The island church on Lake Bled, the underground railway of the Postojna Cave, clifftop Predjama Castle, the emerald Soca River and the café-lined old town of Ljubljana all fit into a short trip. Indian nationals need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa, valid for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, with fingerprints and a photo recorded at the application centre authorised by the Slovenian embassy in India. Slovenia is often combined with Croatia, Italy or Austria, so apply to Slovenia only if it is where you will spend the most nights.
Audvik confirms which country you should apply to, checks your documents, completes the form, books your appointment and writes an itinerary that fits. We can also arrange flights, hotels, insurance and multi-country Alpine tours.

Important things to know
Croatia joined the Schengen Area in 2023, so Slovenia and Croatia trips no longer involve a Schengen border check, but the main-destination rule still decides where you apply.
Slovenia's application centre arrangements can change; we confirm the current appointment process before booking.
Summer (June–August) is peak season around Lake Bled and the coast, so book hotels early and keep bookings refundable until the visa is issued.
Approval is at the discretion of the Slovenian embassy; a clear itinerary helps show your travel purpose.

Slovenia visa FAQs
Do Indians need a visa for Slovenia?
Yes. Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay visa to visit Slovenia for tourism, business or family reasons. It permits up to 90 days in any 180-day period and allows travel to other Schengen countries during its validity.
I am visiting Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. Which embassy do I apply to?
Apply to the country where you will spend the most nights. If your nights are split equally, apply to the country you will enter first. For example, four nights in Slovenia, two in Croatia and two in Italy means applying to Slovenia. Audvik can check your plan and confirm the right embassy.
How long does a Slovenia visa take?
Schengen applications are usually decided within around 15 calendar days after biometrics, but it can be longer during summer or if the embassy requests more documents. Apply four to six weeks ahead where possible, and no more than six months before travel.
Is Slovenia a good honeymoon destination for Indian couples?
Many couples choose Slovenia for its lakes, mountains and quiet romantic towns. Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Piran on the Adriatic coast and the Vintgar Gorge are popular picks. It pairs well with Venice, Salzburg or Croatia's coast for a longer European honeymoon.
Can Audvik book my Slovenia holiday package?
Yes. Audvik can design a Slovenia holiday or a combined Slovenia, Croatia and Italy tour, including flights, hotels, transfers and travel insurance, alongside your visa application. Keeping everything in one place makes your visa documents consistent.
