About the Spain visa for Indians

Spain is one of the most requested Schengen destinations for Indian travellers, and it is easy to see why: Gaudi's buildings in Barcelona, flamenco evenings in Seville, Madrid's Prado museum and the Moorish palaces of Granada. Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa, which permits up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. In India, Spanish visa applications are collected by BLS International, where you submit your file and give fingerprints and a photograph. Apply to Spain if it is your main destination, or your first point of entry when your nights are split equally.

Audvik keeps the whole process organised. We check your papers against the current Spain checklist, complete the application form, book your BLS appointment and prepare a day-by-day itinerary that matches your hotel and flight reservations. We can also arrange compliant travel insurance and keep you updated until your passport comes back.

Spain visa FAQs

Do Indians need a visa for Spain?

Yes. Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay visa to visit Spain for tourism, business or family visits. It allows up to 90 days within any 180-day period and also lets you travel to other Schengen countries, provided Spain is the main destination of your trip.

Most applications are decided in around 15 calendar days after your biometrics appointment. During peak season, or if the consulate asks for more documents, it can take longer. Apply at least 15 days before travel and no earlier than six months ahead; applying 4–6 weeks early is a sensible buffer.

Spain uses BLS International as its visa application partner in India. You book an appointment, attend a BLS centre with your documents, give fingerprints and a photo, and collect your passport from the same centre once the consulate has made its decision.

Yes, a Spain-issued Schengen visa lets you move freely within the Schengen Area during its validity. However, Spain must be where you spend the most nights. If most of your nights are in France or Portugal, you should apply to that country instead.

Yes. Audvik can arrange flight reservations, hotel bookings, travel insurance and a full Spain tour package if you prefer. We make sure these documents line up with your visa application and itinerary, which keeps your file clear and consistent for the consulate.
