Overview

About the Luxembourg visa for Indians

Luxembourg is one of Europe's smallest countries, yet it draws both business visitors and holidaymakers. Its capital sits on dramatic cliffs, with the Bock Casemates tunnels and UNESCO-listed old quarter, while Vianden Castle, the rock formations of the Mullerthal region and the vineyards of the Moselle valley lie a short drive away. Public transport across the country is free. Indian citizens need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa, valid for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, submitted with biometrics through the channel designated for Luxembourg visas in India. Because many trips combine Luxembourg with Belgium, the Netherlands or France, check the main-destination rule first.

Audvik looks at your full itinerary and confirms whether Luxembourg is the right country to apply to. We then check your documents, complete the form, book the appointment and arrange flights, hotels and insurance.

Luxembourg visa FAQs

Do Indians need a visa for Luxembourg?

Yes. Luxembourg is a Schengen member, so Indian passport holders need a Schengen short-stay visa for tourism, business or family visits. It allows up to 90 days in any 180-day period and covers travel across the Schengen Area.

Apply to the country where you will spend the most nights. If your trip is three nights in Amsterdam, two in Brussels and one in Luxembourg, you apply to the Netherlands. If nights are equal, apply to the country of first entry. Audvik can confirm this for your plan.

Short-stay Schengen applications are typically decided within about 15 calendar days of submission. In some cases, it can take longer if additional checks or documents are needed. Apply three to six weeks ahead where possible.

Along with the standard Schengen documents, business visitors should include an invitation from the Luxembourg company, a letter from their Indian employer confirming the purpose and who pays for the trip, and details of meetings or events. Company registration documents may also be asked for.

Yes. Audvik can plan a combined Luxembourg, Belgium and Netherlands trip, or add Paris, with flights, hotels, rail passes and travel insurance. We handle the visa file for the correct embassy based on your final itinerary.
