Overview

About the Azerbaijan visa for Indians

Indian citizens can visit Azerbaijan with an electronic visa issued through the official ASAN Visa system. The standard tourist e-Visa allows a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days, and is valid for travel within about 90 days of issue. Applications are made fully online, with no embassy visit, and approval usually arrives by email within a few working days. An urgent option with much faster processing is also offered, subject to the latest rules.

Audvik makes the process quick and error-free. We check your passport, fill in the ASAN application exactly as your documents read, choose the right processing speed for your travel date and track the approval for you. Your e-Visa is shared as soon as it is issued. We can also book flights to Baku, central hotels, day trips to Gobustan and Sheki, and travel insurance, so your Azerbaijan holiday is fully arranged.

Azerbaijan visa FAQs

Do Indians need a visa for Azerbaijan?

Yes, Indian passport holders need a visa, but it can be obtained online through the official ASAN e-Visa system. There is no need to visit an embassy for a standard tourist trip. The approved e-Visa arrives by email and should be printed and carried with your passport.

A standard e-Visa is typically issued within three working days. An urgent option is available for faster processing, often within a few hours, subject to the latest rules. Applying a week or more ahead gives you a comfortable buffer if any detail needs clarification.

Extensions of a tourist e-Visa are generally not straightforward and are granted only in limited cases by the State Migration Service. It is better to plan your trip within the 30-day stay allowed and apply for a new visa for any later visit.

Travel insurance is not always checked on arrival, but it is highly recommended. A policy covering medical treatment, trip cancellation and lost baggage protects you against unexpected costs, especially if you plan mountain trips to Gabala, Sheki or Shahdag during winter.

Yes. Audvik can handle your e-Visa along with flights, hotels in Baku, airport transfers, city tours and excursions to Gobustan, Absheron and Gabala. We can also combine Azerbaijan with Georgia or Armenia for a longer Caucasus holiday with one point of contact.
